This was my final project for my painting class. We were essentially given free reign as long as we were painting something we could actually see. I was originally going to make something really epic and full of tiny details, but since my schedule was ridiculous, I decided to do something a bit more simple for this last project so that I would not go insane. I might do something with my more epic idea later.

I have always really liked the shapes of chess pieces. I used to play with them when I was little, before I really understood how the game worked, and later I read books about chess, because I wanted to be a good chess player. Unfortunately, I am downright mediocre, but I still like the actual pieces themselves (May 2009).
