Giranglers were created from a hybrid of giraffe and anglerfish DNA for use in parks. They provide natural lighting without the need to ever replace a lightbulb, and they help keep down the insect population, since they like munching on moths and mosquitoes.

I really like your splice creature, the combination of giraffe with an angelfish is really creative. And it's so colorful I just wish you could see a full shot of one of the creatures. But then reading you would use them as substitute lampposts and I think that's a cool idea.
Oooh, so this is the finished piece 8D it's really pretty. The colors are amazing. And the head of the nearest girangler is so beautiful I can't literally stop looking at it.
